Ignite Theatre – Terms and Conditions
Effective from [1st September 2025]
By booking and paying for services provided by Ignite Theatre, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply fully with the following Terms and Conditions.
Punctuality
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that students arrive on time for all sessions. Late arrivals can disrupt the flow of the workshop and may result in a shortened session.
Contact and Pick-Up
A parent or guardian must remain contactable throughout the duration of the session.
Please arrive at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled start and end time to collect your child promptly.
Accurate and up-to-date emergency contact information must be provided prior to the start of the workshop.
While every reasonable precaution is taken to provide a safe and enjoyable environment, Ignite Theatre and its staff cannot accept liability for any injuries, accidents, or unforeseen incidents that may occur. By enrolling, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these terms and are responsible for ensuring that their child is appropriately prepared for all activities.
If the Student Cancels
All bookings are final and non-refundable. Due to limited spaces and planned resources, we are unable to offer refunds, credits, or rescheduling for missed sessions. We appreciate your understanding.
If Ignite Theatre Cancels
In the rare event that a session must be cancelled by Ignite Theatre, we will provide as much advance notice as possible. A re-scheduled session will be arranged. If the student is unable to attend the re-scheduled session, a lesson credit will be issued for the following month.
If the Student Is Late
Students may be admitted up to ten (10) minutes after the session has started.
After ten (10) minutes, entry will not be permitted to avoid disruption.
Sessions will end at the scheduled time and will be charged in full regardless of late arrival.
If Ignite Theatre Is Late
In the unlikely event that a session starts late due to Ignite Theatre staff, any lost time will be made up either during the current session or at a future date, as agreed with the parent/guardian.
To maintain a safe and productive learning environment:
For studio-based workshops, a parent or guardian must remain within a five (5) kilometre radius of the venue and be contactable at all times.
Recording or photographing sessions is strictly prohibited without prior written permission.
Students must arrive with a water bottle, be rested, well-fed, and with any required materials (e.g., pens, notebooks) as instructed.
Students should bring any self administering medication along with them (e.g. an inhaler).
Ignite Theatre is committed to upholding the highest standards in safeguarding.
Our Commitments:
All staff hold a current Certificate of Good Conduct, renewed annually and available upon request.
Staff undertake certified safeguarding training at least every three (3) years.
All communication is conducted through parents/carers—direct contact with students outside of sessions is not permitted.
Any concerns or allegations are taken seriously and acted upon in line with current safeguarding procedures.
If Abuse Is Disclosed:
Ignite Theatre staff will:
Listen and respond supportively, avoiding leading questions.
Reassure the student while explaining that certain information must be shared to ensure safety.
Record and report the concern accurately and promptly.
Refer the case to the appropriate safeguarding authority.
Contact the police if a student is believed to be in immediate danger.
It is not the role of Ignite Theatre staff to investigate, but rather to refer concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Photographs and recordings will only be taken by Ignite staff and/or approved vendors. If parents wish to withdraw their child from this, they must contact me directly.
Fees
All examination fees must be paid in full prior to entry.
No student will be entered for an examination until full payment has been received and confirmed.
Examination Outcomes
Ignite Theatre provides quality tuition and support in preparation for Trinity College London (or equivalent) examinations.
However, the final result and grading decision lies solely with the external examining board.
Ignite Theatre and its staff cannot be held responsible for any examination outcomes.
Attendance and Readiness
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure regular attendance in preparation for exams.
Ignite Theatre reserves the right to postpone exam entries if a student is not adequately prepared.
Missed Examinations
If a student misses their examination for any reason (including illness, travel, or lateness), the examination fee is non-refundable. A new entry will require an additional fee.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to change. By continuing to book and attend sessions, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the most recent version of the Terms and Conditions.
