Ignite Theatre offers something different: a focused, personalised approach that places each student’s growth at the heart of the work. Sessions are small, meaning every student is seen, heard, and challenged at their level – whether they’re an aspiring actor, a shy speaker, or somewhere in between.
Founded by a qualified UK drama teacher and experienced theatre practitioner, Ignite combines professional expertise with a warm, encouraging environment. We don’t just teach drama – we build confidence, creativity, and communication skills that last far beyond the classroom.
If you’re looking for high-quality, small-group drama training that’s engaging, structured, and genuinely transformative, this is it.
Each 60-minute session is dynamic, challenging, and purpose-driven. Students work in small groups to develop vocal technique, storytelling, improvisation, characterisation, and confident communication. Sessions are tailored to individual strengths and ambitions, supporting steady growth in both performance skills and self-assurance.
Our programme is structured with clear, achievable outcomes. Whether students are working towards a performance piece, refining their public speaking, or preparing for a Trinity exam, every session is designed to push their potential and leave them feeling confident, creative, and empowered.
Comfortable clothes they can move in – think T-shirts, joggers or leggings, and closed shoes (no skirts or sandals). They don’t need to bring anything else – all materials are provided. A water bottle is handy, though!
As fees are paid per term, we’re unable to offer refunds or credits for missed sessions. Each student’s place is reserved for the full 10 week term, and sessions are carefully planned with small groups in mind.
We understand that absences can happen from time to time. While we can’t guarantee a make-up session, we’ll always do our best to support your child’s continued progress and keep them on track with the rest of the group.
To secure a place each term, full payment must be made before the start of the term. Students who are already enrolled will always be given priority booking for the next term but this priority only remains if payment is made on time.
As places are limited and in high demand, if payment is not received by the deadline, your child’s place may be offered to another student on the waiting list.
We’ll always send a reminder before the end of each term, so you have plenty of time to confirm your spot.
At the end of each 10-week term, students will have the option to present a short showcase depending on the group's focus. These informal performances are a chance for them to celebrate their progress, share their work with family, and build confidence in front of a supportive audience.
For those preparing for speech and drama exams or performance projects, we can tailor the work to suit those goals too.
Yes – students have the opportunity to take internationally recognised exams with Trinity College London in Speech and Drama or Communication Skills. These exams are a fantastic way to set personal goals, boost confidence, and receive formal recognition for their progress.
Exams are completely optional and will be recommended based on your child’s readiness and interest. Exam fees are set by Trinity College and are charged separately from class fees.
We’ll guide students through the preparation process in a supportive and stress-free way, ensuring they feel confident and capable on the day.
Trinity College London is one of the world’s leading performance and communication exam boards, known for its emphasis on creativity, authenticity, and real-world skills. Their exams are internationally recognised and designed to celebrate individual expression while developing clear, confident communication.
At Ignite Theatre, we choose Trinity because:
Their qualifications are globally respected and valued by schools and universities.
The focus is on practical performance, not rote learning.
Feedback is detailed, personal, and encouraging, helping students grow.
Students can work at their own pace and enter exams when they’re ready.
Whether your child wants to pursue acting, grow in confidence, or simply improve their speaking skills, Trinity provides a meaningful, measurable way to celebrate their progress.
